Scholarships are intended for master’s level studies in Sweden starting in the fall semester 2013 (August). 


Who is eligible?

The scholarships are intended for students from the above-mentioned target groups for full time studies in Sweden. There is no age limit for scholarship holders.

Internships at African Development Bank: June - August 2013

Eligibility Criteria
Students, aged between eighteen (18) to thirty (30) years, and currently enrolled in a master’s level degree program or its equivalent in a recognized public or private institution of higher learning. The candidate can apply for an internship within one year of having obtained such a degree.
Provide a letter from their school confirming their enrollment.
Be citizens of one of the Bank’s member countries.
Be fluent in, at least, one of the Bank’s working languages (English or French).

University of Nottingham -UK Masters Scholarships


You can apply for this scholarship if you:
·         are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Africa
·         are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
·         have not already studied outside of your home country AND
·         are not currently studying at a University of Nottingham campus or are not a University of Nottingham graduate AND 
·         already hold an offer to start a full-time masters degree programme (including MRes) at Nottingham in September 2013 in one of the areas of study below:
Faculty of Engineering,
Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences,
Faculty of Science,
School of Geography – courses related to the area of Environment,
Institute for Science & Society – courses related to the area of Science,

Utrecht Excellence Scholarships


Eligible candidates: Highly talented prospective students from non-EU/EEA countries
Amount of scholarship: Max. 28 350 euro per year
Number of scholarships/year: Approximately 55

University of Bern, Switzerland Masters Grants


The Universität Bern offers six Master Grants for the academic year 2013/14 for excellent international students. The grant consists of 1'600 CHF per month for the duration of the Master's programme (standard period of study).
Application files will be examined by a selection committee. Criteria for selection are academic excellence and the candidate's potential and motivation.

Preconditions:
  • Applicants must have graduated at the latest by the end of July 2013 with at least a Bachelor's degree in the desired field of study
  • This Bachelor's or Master's degree must be from a non-Swiss university
  • The applicant’s permanent place of residence up to the application must have been outside of Switzerland
  • The applicant's file must include the following in duplicate:

  1. curriculum vitae (max. 5'000 characters without blanks)
  2. letter of motivation with objectives
  3. letters of recommendation from 2 professors of the current home university (with institutional letter paper and signature)
  4. evidence of sufficient language proficiency in German or English 
  5. original certified copies of the Bachelor's Diploma and transcript of the grades obtained during the Bachelor's studies or recent confirmation (not older than 3 months) by the home university that the Bachelor's degree (in the same study field as the intended Master's programme) will be completed by the end of July 2013 (with a list of grades obtained up to now)
  6. copy of record of school-leaving examination 
  7. 2 passport photos
  8. copy of passport
