Australia Africa Awards Masters and Short Courses

Since 1988, nationals from Kenya have been sponsored by the Australian Government through the Australia Awards to Study in Australia. Applicants from Kenya are eligible to apply for Masters and Short Course Awards.

University of Lausanne, Switzerland Masters Grants

To facilitate access to Master’s degrees by students with qualifications from foreign universities, the University of Lausanne makes available around ten Master’s grants which are awarded on a competitive basis.

Amount and duration of the grant

The amount of the grant is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July.

Selection procedure

Candidates must complete the "UNIL Master’s Grant" form and submit their application within the deadline to:

Selection criteria
The grants are intended more particularly for students who distinguished themselves in their university studies and who have difficulty meeting their financial needs for the duration of the Master’s.

Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University

Brief description:

Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century. Enrolling the inaugural class in 2016, the program will give the world’s best and brightest students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing – one of China’s most prestigious universities.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarship covers tuition and fees, room and board, travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year, an in-country study tour, required course books and supplies, lenovo laptop and smartphone, health insurance, and a modest personal stipend.

Eligibility:

• Undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university. Applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements by June 30, 2016, before orientation begins. There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study; all fields are welcome.

• Age. Applicants must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of June 30, 2016.

Keele-Kenya Masters Scholarship, UK, 2015

Keele University is offering Kenya scholarships for master students in the field of Environmental Sustainability and Green Technology. Scholarships are open for Kenyan students.

Eligibility: Eligibility of candidates:

-Candidates must have a First Class Honours Degree

-Candidates must demonstrate excellence in the following areas:

-Academic qualifications

-English Language ability

-Understanding of the course and motivation to study at Keele

-Extra-curricular or work experience in a relevant field

What does it cover? One full tuition fee scholarship is available to students applying for an MSc in Environmental Sustainability and Green Technology. The scholarship covers:

-Full tuition fees for one year

-On campus accommodation

-Contribution toward living expenses

-One return airfare from Kenya

IDPM Development Leadership Scholarships at University of Manchester in UK, 2015

University of Manchester is offering three IDPM Development Leadership Scholarships. Scholarships provide a full tuition fee waiver for on-campus Masters programmes commencing in September 2015, valued at up to £16,000. The closing date for applications for September 2015 is 29 May 2015.

Eligibility: Eligibility for the award is as follows:
-Applicants must not have previously studied in a developed country.
-Applicants must hold a first class honours first degree or equivalent

Number of award(s): There are three IDPM Development Leadership Scholarships available.

What does it cover? IDPM is providing a full tuition fee waiver for on-campus Masters Programmes commencing in September 2015, valued at up to £16,000.

Notification: Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application in June 2015.
