Wits offers a wide variety of accommodations, ranging from single gender, catering residences, to mixed gender self-catering flats. Residences are administered by professional staff who co-ordinate services in each residence.
The Campus Health & Wellness Centre provides a confidential general medical service to registered students. Doctors and nurses are available daily. Physiotherapy and psychiatric services are also available.
Sporting facilities at Wits include playing fields, tennis and squash courts, swimming pools, an indoor sports hall, a gymnasium with an indoor climbing wall for would-be mountaineers, a golf driving range, and a practice tank for the Rowing Club. Wits has more than forty sports clubs which operate under the jurisdiction of the Wits Sports Council. High quality coaching is offered in many sporting areas.
